Adam R. Goss

Adam's career in funeral service started at Spears Funeral Home in 2009. He formed Goss Funeral Services in 2017. Goss Funeral Services is the parent company of Spears Funeral Home in Enosburg Falls and Kidder Memorial Home of Swanton. He has a passion for funeral service and a commitment to professional development.

He was born and raised in Enosburg Falls and a 2007 graduate of Enosburg Falls High School. Adam graduated from the New England Institute at Mount Ida College in May of 2011.  Adam obtained the Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (CFSP) designation in 2017 from the Academy of Professional Funeral Practice. 

He is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. Adam is a member of the Vermont Funeral Directors Association and National Funeral Directors Association. He serves on the Executive Board of the Vermont Funeral Directors Association as Vice President and he is the Policy Board representitive for Vermont to the National Funeral Directors Association. He is also on the Board of Directors of the Franklin County Home Health Agency and St. John the Baptist Cemetery Association. 

Adam lives in East Fairfield, VT with his wife, Callie (Lumbra) Goss and their 2 dogs, Zoe and Leo. Other than spending time with his family, Adam enjoys the outdoors including hunting and various sports. He is the son of Thomas Goss and Kelly (Jackson) Bailey.

Bridget (Bohannon) Daku joined our team in 2018. She was a Funeral Director and Embalmer who worked under Wesley Kidder and Arthur Goodhue in the late 1990’s and the early 2000’s.

Her home office is located at Kidder Memorial Home, but she also serves families at Spears Funeral Home.

Carol-Ann (Jackson) Clark

Carol-Ann joined the Goss Funeral Services team in February of 2018. She grew up in Enosburg Falls and graduated from Enosburg Falls High School. Carol-Ann received her Bachelor’s degree from Lyndon State College in 2013.

She currently resides in Enosburg Falls with her husband Koby Clark and their two sons, Chandler and Kanaan. Carol-Ann is the daughter of Craig Jackson of Enosburg Falls and she has one brother, Justin Jackson who lives in St. Albans with his wife, Lauren.

Carol-Ann enjoys spending time with her family and friends, kayaking, fishing, four-wheeling, and long weekends at the lake in Canaan, VT.

Amanda Young

Amanda joined the Goss Funeral Services team in October of 2017. She started out as the Office Manager at Kidder Memorial Home and quickly became drawn to helping families in their time of need. She is now an Apprentice working toward her Funeral Director and Embalmer license. Soon, she will begin this journey by attending the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science.

Amanda grew up in Swanton and graduated from Missisquoi Valley Union High School in 1997. She currently resides in Highgate with her daughter Lily, her boyfriend Jordan, and their 2 dogs: a loveable, lazy Black Lab named Canon and an energetic, waterfowl hunting Chesapeake Bay Retriever named Ava.

Amanda is the daughter of John Young and Ginette (Laroche) Young, both of Swanton. She has one brother, Jonathan Young who lives in St. Albans with his family.

She enjoys the outdoors, and has a passion for photography. Her work may be recognized as “Forever Young Photography.”

Thomas Cook

Tom joined the Spears Funeral Home in 1984 and owned the business from 2002-2017. Tom is a 1983 graduate of New England Institute in Boston and is a licensed funeral director and embalmer. He is a member and past president of the Vermont Funeral Directors Association and a member of the National Funeral Directors Association. Married to Deborah (Perley) Cook, Tom & Debbie's son Thomas passed away in 2001. Tom enjoys hunting, golf, basketball, hiking and riding his Harley Davidson Road Glide.

Robert Covey

Bob is a second generation funeral director and former funeral home owner, originally from southern Vermont. He is a graduate of the Albany Campus of Russell Sage College and New England Institute in Boston. Bob's funeral homes in southern Vermont had been operated in the family since 1919. He has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer since 1971. He is a member and past president of the Vermont Funeral Directors Association and the National Funeral Directors Association. He formerly served as a member of the D-MORT Region I Team and the Vermont Army National Guard. Bob and his wife Kathie (Long) Covey have three adult children and 1 Grandson.  Bob enjoys golf, flying, hiking and walking.

William Spears Jr.

Bill is a third generation funeral director and former owner of the Spears Funeral Home. He is a graduate of New England Institute in Boston and a licensed funeral director and embalmer since 1966. In 1979 Bill purchased the funeral home from his father, William E. Spears Sr. and grandfather, George Spears who were the founders of the Spears Funeral Home. They were the successors to the Gibson Funeral Home which served the community since the turn of the century. Bill transferred ownership of the Spears Funeral Home to Tom Cook in 2002. He remains on staff at the funeral home assisting with funerals and in an advisory capacity. 

Bill is married to Kathleen (Grant) Spears and has four adult children and eight grandchildren. He is a member and past president of the Vermont Funeral Directors Association and a member of the National Funeral Directors Association. He enjoys hunting, fishing and golf.

Andre Beaulieu

Andy has been employed at the Spears Funeral Home since 2000. He assists at funerals and visiting hours. Andy has served in the United States Marine Corps and the Vermont National Guard. He is an active member and past commander of the American Legion Post #42 in Enosburg Falls and member of the Vermont State Legion.

Andy resides in Enosburg Falls with his wife, Greta (Gleason) Beaulieu and has two adult daughters. In his spare time he enjoys doing handyman projects.

Gary G. Centabar

Gary is a native of Berkshire and he graduated from Richford High School in 1960. He has been a resident of Swanton since 1965. Gary retired from IBM in 1996 and began his second career at Kidder Memorial Home shortly after. He is a member of Seventy-Six Lodge #14 Free & Accepted Masons, Past Potentate (CEO) of Mt. Sinai Shriners and Co-Chairman of Riverside Cemetery Association.

His son, Jon Centabar and his wife Amy live in St. Albans and he has 3 grandchildren, Katherine, Andrew and Hannah. Gary’s wife, Judith (Gibney) Centabar and his daughter, Cynthia Centabar passed away in 2013.

 

Lisa Chaffee

Lisa began working part time in July 2017 assisting with funerals and visiting hours. Lisa was born and raised in Enosburg, the daughter of Beverly & Reginald Robtoy. She graduated from EFHS in 1976. She works at the Enosburg Elementary School as the administrative assistant where she has been employed since 1997. Her office where she sits today was once her first grade classroom.

 

Lisa lives in Montgomery Center with her husband, Harvey, has two adult children, 3 dogs and a Shetland pony, Fiona.

 

Lisa enjoys spending time with her animals, knitting, crocheting, painting barn quilts and traveling.

Mark Churchill

Mark began part-time at Spears Funeral Home in 2014, assisting with funerals and visiting hours. He is a graduate of Enosburg Falls High school. Mark retired from the military after serving in the Marine Corps and the Vermont Army National Guard. He is the former owner and operator of North Country Archery which was located in Enosburg.


Mark and his wife Christina (Emch) Churchill currently reside in Sheldon and have three adult children and two grandchildren. They own and operate ChurChillin's Ice Cream in Sheldon and Mark runs a small beef farm and excavating business also in Sheldon. He enjoys golf, hunting and fishing.

Richard Ewins

Dick has worked part time at the Spears Funeral Home since 2000 assisting with funerals and calling hours. He is a retired dairy farmer and a veteran of the United States Air Force. Dick is a member of the Missisquoi Lodge F&AM in Richford and also works part time at Dick Wright Ford where he asists with auto deliveries. He is married to Mary "Susie" (Lamoureaux) Ewins, and has two adult children and four grandchildren. Dick enjoys golfing, traveling and tinkering with his antique Ford Truck.

Robert Gleason Jr.

Robert was formerly a full time employee at the Spears Funeral Home. He serves on the Enosburgh Fire Dept. and is a member of the Franklin County Fire Fighters Association and the Vermont State Fire Fighters Assoc. His duties at the funeral home consist of assisting with funerals and visiting hours. Robert currently lives in Fairfax and enjoys golf, fishing, kyaking & traveling.

Ronny Greeno

Ronny has been with the Kidder Memorial Home since 2014. He assists with funerals, memorials, and visitations. Ronny is also a licensed Removal Person in the state of Vermont.

He has been a Swanton resident for all his life. Ronny graduated from Missisquoi Valley Union High school in 1973 and joined the United States Army in 1974. He married Vickie (Culbertson) formerly of Colonial Heights, VA and they have four children, Travis, Trevor, Casey & Carly and five grandchildren, Madison, Alexis, Sierra, Faith & Hunter.

Ronny is now retired, but he previously worked for the Village of Swanton, Terry Hill Trucking and as a Certified Scuba Diver. He has also been a member of the Seventy-Six Lodge #14 Free & Accepted Masons and Fire Department in Swanton. His favorite hobbies include antique engines, bottles or anything considered collectable, and tropical and salt water fish.

 

Michael Howrigan II

Michael began working part time at Spears Funeral Home in 2012, assisting with funerals and visiting hours. He retired from dairy farming in 2010 and currently runs his own maple sugaring business in Enosburg Falls. Michael is a member of the Enosburg Falls School board and also works part-time for Pete West Construction.

He resides in Enosburg Falls and is married to Tanya (Mahaney) Howrigan, together they have 3 children, Connor, Brayden and Shea. Michael enjoys coaching the many sports activities his children are involved in and hunting, golfing and playing baseball.

Mary Anne Langlois

A native of the Franklin County area.  A longtime resident of Swanton.

A 1970 graduate of the former Swanton High School.  Began working at the former St. Albans Hospital in the Medical Records Department immediately following graduation.

Full time homemaker and seamstress 1975 – 1997.

Helped with the clerical duties at CCD and many other school activities.

Worked in the office at Holiday House Nursing Home and with the Franklin Grand-Isle School-to-Work program.

Administrative Assistant at the Northwest Technical Center since October, 1998.

Member of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Member of the Nativity Parish Ladies of Saint Anne.

Member of the Vermont Association of Educational Office Professionals

Albert "Sam" Severy

Sam has worked part-time at the Spears Funeral Home since retiring from full time work in 2010; he assists with funerals and visiting hours.  

Sam was born in Rochester, VT and was a graduate of Essex Jct. High School class of 1954. Throughout his working career, Sam has spent time as a Major in the U.S. Army, the VT National Guard, IBM in Essex Jct. and Franklin Foods in Enosburg Falls. Sam sits on the Incorporator's Board for the Nortwestern Medical Center and the Zoning and Historical Society Boards for the town of Sheldon.  He is also a member of the Enosburg Falls Lion's Club, F&AM of Lamoille Lodge #6, York Rite Bodies of Masonry in Burlington and Order of the Eatern Star Swanton Chapter.

Sam currently resides in Sheldon with his wife, Sally (Jones) Severy. His hobbies include traveling, playing cards, going camping and doing crossword puzzles.

 

Ginette (Laroche) Young

Ginette is a native of Highgate Center and a longtime resident of Swanton. She graduated from the former Highgate High School and the Fanny Allen School of Nursing. She worked at the Northwestern Medical Center in the Family Birth Center for 46 1/2 years, she retired in 2017.

Ginette has been with Kidder Memorial Home since 1999. She is a member of Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Swanton. She has two adult children, Jonathan Young and wife Arleigh and Amanda Young, and two granddaughters, Violet Elizabeth Young and Lily Grace Whitcomb.
