Norman Preston

ENOSBURG FALLS – Norman Martin Preston, age 59, passed away Sunday July 1, 2012 at the Fletcher Allen Health Care facility in Burlington.

He was born in St. Albans on September 7, 1952 the son of the late Clifton & Dorothy (Corliss) Preston.

Norman lived in Franklin County his whole life. He graduated from BFA St. Albans in 1971 and joined the Military shortly after. He considered it an honor to serve his country for over 20 years thus allowing him to meet several people who he held near and dear to his life. He enjoyed fishing, four-wheeling, snowmobiling & tinkering which in turn earned him the nickname “Kink”. Norman could always be found socializing on Main Street in Enosburg in front to the diner.

He is survived by his 6 siblings, Marion Adams of Wilder, VT, Robert & Linda Preston of Sutton, NH, Donald Preston of Burlington, VT, Irene & Harold Dennis of Tannersville PA, John & Bonnie Preston of Sheldon, VT and Justin & Mary Preston of Swanton, VT; and many nieces and nephews. Norman also had friends in the Enosburg area which he always considered his Extended Family. Besides his parents, Norman was predeceased by his brothers Rodney, Clifton & Elis Preston,

A memorial service will be held Monday July 9, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg, VT 05450 with military honors to follow.
