ENOSBURG FALLS – Daniel Lawrence, age 65, passed away suddenly on Monday, January 07, 2013 at the Nothwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.
He was born on May 31, 1947 the son of the late Harvey and Nellie-Jean (Wortheim) Lawrence.
Dan had a kind and generous spirit, always sharing humor and sometimes wisdom with the employees and customers at the local Hannaford Supermarket in Enosburg. He enjoyed working there throughout his retirement. Dan worked at IBM as an engineer for 31 years prior. He enjoyed the outdoors including hunting, archery, fishing, and boating. Dan was an avid gun collector, reloader, and marksman. He also loved fly fishing and tied his own flies. He would have liked to be remembered as a peaceful warrior. He often said that his goal was to be peaceful. It seems like he has succeeded. He will surely be missed by all who knew him.
He leaves behind his fiancé, Elaine Walsh of Enosburg; 2 sons, Jeff and his wife Kimberly Lawrence of St. Albans; and Todd and his spouse Terry of Richmond; 2 granddaughters, Jenna and Shelby Lawrence of St. Albans; his best friend and cousin Kenneth Lawrence of Fairfield; his sister, Laurie Pepin and her husband Tim of Milton; cousins Alberta and David Hemingway; and Mary Anne and Joseph Campbell of Norwich, N.Y. Daniel was predeceased by his parents.
In keeping with Daniel’s wishes, there will be no public services.
